As soon as we came in we were impressed on how beautiful the restaurant is decorated. We got seated on a combed style table and got served immediately, Ramen was incredibly and the sushi even better, with a lot of variety and options. We are definitely coming back our server was Andy and she was great

This place used to be Kyuramen, it closed, and Shodo took over the store (kept the store design) and tweaked it a bit and it now has a small buffet bar. With the price of $22 per adult ($12 age 9-12, $6 age 5-8), this is a great bargain! You order the drink (extra $) and ramen with your server, you can order as many ramen as you want or keep ordering for more bowls (they are regular size though, wish they are smaller bowls/portions so we could try out more varieties). And there is a buffer bar for appetizers, salad, fruits nigiri/rolls, and ice creme. We had been there twice since they opened in early Sep. First time on a weekday evening, 2nd time on weekend. Not sure if this is a weekday evening thing only or not, but first time when we were there, we had to order our sushi and rolls, as they didn't put them on the buffet bar (probably due to lower customers, so they want to keep sushi fresh so it was made to order). But 2nd time on weekend it was only buffet bar for sushi and rolls and ordering for this were not offered. Our first visit the experience was better, it wasn't busy, so food came out quickly, and there were more type of sushi/rolls on menu we could order(e.g. eel nigiri), and they also had takoyaki. And the 2nd time when we were there, takoyaki was replaced with spring rolls (a downgrade from my view, as spring rolls are a much more easy to find and common appetizers and people can often buy frozen ones at many stores, so this is not so special), and also the didn't offer made to order nigiri/rolls, and the nigiri on the buffet bars have less variety (no eel one), and they couldn't keep up with the demand and keep running out of many things and replenished slowly on many things on the buffet bar. Fairly disappointed on the weekend experience. Also our server from our 2nd visit (weekend) was also fairly slow on clearing our tables. I get it that it was busy, but from time to time we could see her standing and just chatting with other staff while there were tons of empty plates/bowls on our table that could be cleared out. Wish the service and buffet bar food replenish speed can be improved. We look forward to the future visit and hope to be have a better experience!

It’s an all you can eat buffet, so it is not an Omakase experience, but it is excellent value. Really great staff, and they had a good selection. They also had a dessert option, and excellent Coke. Ramen was a great choice. They also have claw machines! It is also really cute inside

heard the ayce deal and we pulled up! $22 per person not including tax/gratuity. sushi was fresh to order, the salmon and eel are good-par (but fyi i have very high standards for sushi quality and this hit my craving ). you can also order less noodle for the ramen. broth was not too salty to taste! the protein ramen toppings were very good as well. i got the mega tonkotsu ramen and katubushi (probably wrong spelling lol) good selection of ramen and sushi as well no sign of scams either way waitress was attentive and fast. because we went on a weekday there wasnt much people so you had to order the sushi separately so they gave u full rolls ^^

I discovered this place in Instagram. Because it is too close to my office, I want to try during lunch. In first look, the design inprsse you. Their are many tables and also small rooms if you are looking for some privacy. Food: I tried almost all options accept ramen. I didn't have much time and I only tried open bar options. All were fresh and tasty. Their spring rolls were good (not too oily). I do believe their price is really good for this quality and service. It is $22

Great for the price! Ramen was a little under seasoned for me but over all was good. Lots of sushi options so that was a plus. My favorite side dish was the fried dumplings! The restaurant was super busy so you got to keep your head on a swivel as they bring stuff out.

Omg! This place is AMAZING!! I can’t believe I came across it! All you can eat ramen and sushi and a VERY reasonable price. The food was AMAZING!! Sushi is laid out buffet style. You order your ramen and drinks. You CAN NOT TAKE FOOD TO GO, given it is buffet. But my daughter and I REALLY enjoyed the atmosphere, the service and food!

Great price for lunch. Food is freshly prepared and is delicious. My only wish is they would serve a small portion size of ramen noodles. These bowls are so big that it's hard to finish all that, plus all the other all you can eat appetizer and sushi options.

Located in Alpharetta, Georgia, Shodo Ramen & Sushi offers a fresh spin on Japanese dining with its all-you-can-eat buffet and made-to-order dishes. Nestled at 735 N Main St #1700, this restaurant welcomes guests into a beautifully decorated space that balances modern aesthetics with a cozy ambiance, providing both communal and private seating options that cater to varied dining preferences.

The hallmark of Shodo is its generous ramen selection paired with an extensive sushi variety. The ramen impresses with its well-balanced broths—creamy tonkotsu that is rich without overwhelming saltiness—and generous protein toppings that enrich each bowl. Whether you go for the classic or specialty ramen, there’s a satisfying depth of flavor that resonates with ramen enthusiasts.

Equally noteworthy is their sushi offering, which blends freshness with diversity. Diners can savor both buffet-style nigiri and rolls or opt for freshly made sashimi and specialty rolls, especially on less busy days when the selection broadens to include items like eel nigiri and takoyaki. The sushi’s quality stands out, hitting that craving for authentic, fresh fish, a testament to the care taken despite the buffet format.

The buffet bar itself provides more than just sushi and ramen. It features an appetizing spread of salads, fruits, and desserts including ice cream, alongside savory starters like spring rolls—which, while common, are prepared fresh and well-balanced in oil. The recent addition of a claw machine adds a playful touch, enhancing the casual dining experience, especially for groups and families.

Service at Shodo tends to be friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere. While some busy periods have revealed challenges in timely buffet replenishment and table clearing, the staff’s overall dedication shines through. This balance of quality food, thoughtful decor, and fair pricing—at just $22 for adults—makes Shodo Ramen & Sushi a compelling destination for those craving Japanese flavors without the omakase price tag.

In summary, Shodo Ramen & Sushi delivers solid ramen bowls, fresh sushi selections, and a lively buffet experience in a well-designed setting. It’s a great spot for ramen lovers and sushi fans seeking variety and value, with room to improve during peak times. I look forward to returning and watching this Alpharetta gem continue to refine its offerings and service pace.
